01 · Songwriting & rhythm

Guitar chord progression generator

Find a starting point worth playing.

Create a progression, hear it with a groove, and shape it into your own song or practice loop. Playable diagrams keep every chord connected to your guitar.

  • Choose your key, mode, and style; filter open, barre, triad, or power chord shapes.
  • Add sevenths, suspended chords, and add9 color. Lock chords you love or replace one by hand.
  • Build four-chord loops, or expand to 8, 12, and 16 chords with Pro.

Hear the whole idea in time

Adjust tempo, drum groove, and guitar sound. Follow the active chord as playback moves through the progression.

02 · Play-along rhythm

Customizable drum accompaniment

Build a groove around the part you want to practice.

Tap the drum-kit button beside BPM to open Rhythm. Sampled drums follow the progression’s tempo and meter while you work on chord changes, strumming, or lead lines.

  • Set each kit part to Off, Light, Standard, or Busy.
  • Add fills every eight, four, or two bars and choose the guitar strum separately.
  • Balance Guitar and Drums volumes: lower the app’s guitar to play the chords yourself, or keep both parts for improvising.

Acoustic Pop, Waltz, and 6/8 Ballad are free with default kits and recommended strums. Additional sampled grooves, kit and fill edits, independent strum choices, and volume changes require Pro.

  • Explore major, minor, diminished, and augmented triads in any key.
  • Practice string sets 1–3, 2–4, 3–5, and 4–6 with inversion labels and a full-neck map.

  • Practice major, minor, major 7, minor 7, and dominant 7 arpeggios in C, A, G, E, and D shapes.
  • Choose interval, note, or finger labels, and tap a note to hear it. During playback, follow the same highlighted note on the fretboard and TAB.

  • Explore modes, pentatonic and blues scales, and CAGED scale shapes.
  • Switch between intervals, note names, and fingerings; highlight chord tones on the fretboard.
